He himself said he'd have killed Frisk immediately were it not for that, and I don't see a strong Ne-user doing that kind of thing to the first human to come about in ages. The course of action he follows when dealing with Frisk is very straightforward, no-nonsense and would seem like he's just doing it for fun were it not for the promise he made to Toriel.

Honestly, while playing, outside of his jokes, I never got any sort of Ne-vibe from him. Sans, on the other hand, uses a very linear, very simple way of guiding Frisk where necessary and minds his own business for the rest of the time. A Ne-user would probably interfere a lot more and be a lot more invested simply because they're curious.

In Sans' situation, imho, a Ne-user would be more "all over the place" because they don't have that weaker Ni to keep them reminded about their ultimate goal. His way of thinking is more concerned about sensory things and surroundings with a hinted and eventually revealed undertone of following a well-hidden agenda. That being said, he is revealed to have some sort of agenda that he's following, but even then it's not because he personally wants to affect the future or even think about it, it's because he was asked to by appealing to his weaker Ni-Fe. That doesn't mean he's not concerned but what we see is him just reacting to situations based on what he sees and hears in the moment. Sans doesn't seem that worried about the future because he doesn't lead with a future-oriented function. The way I would see a Ne-dom or Ne-aux, they would be buzzing and brimming with ideas, having dozens of unfinished projects, always looking for something new and interesting to work with. He's not the idea kind of guy, his days consist of trying to get away with as many naps and lunch breaks as possible.

I'll try to break down why I think Sans is Se-Ni. Click to expand.Well since we're both agreeing on Ti-Fe I won't go into detail why I think Sans has those functions.
